Kousalya Collection
Kousalya is a tribute to the timeless elegance of South Indian silk traditions, bringing together the distinctive character of Ilkal with the grandeur of a Kanjivaram-inspired border.
Ilkal sarees have a rich textile heritage associated with the town of Ilkal in Karnataka. One of their most distinctive traditional features is the Tope Tenni technique, historically used to join the saree body and pallu, creating the characteristic geometric and structured appearance of the pallu. The traditional Ilkal aesthetic is also known for its striking pallu and border combinations.
The Kousalya Collection takes inspiration from this heritage and presents it through a powerloom-woven 100% pure silk saree, enhanced with a rich Kanjivaram-style border, traditional Tope-style pallu and butta detailing across the saree body. The result is a graceful blend of traditional inspiration and contemporary Chhabi craftsmanship.
